IncuCyte® Annexin V NIR Reagent for Apoptosis (Cat. No. 4768)

IncuCyte® Annexin V NIR Reagent for Apoptosis (Cat. No. 4768)

One vial of lyophilized solid sufficient for 100-200 live-cell apoptosis tests in 96-well format.
(Cat. No. 4768)

The IncuCyte® Annexin V NIR Reagent is a highly-selective phosphatidylserine (PS) cyanine fluorescent dye. Specially formulated, this reagent is ideally suited for real time measurements of apoptosis in living cultures. Annexin V NIR is validated for use with the IncuCyte® S3 Live-Cell Analysis System for Neuroscience (Cat No 4763) paired with an Orange/NIR Optical Module. It is not compatible with IncuCyte instruments paired with a Red/Green Optical Module e.g. Cat. No 4647. Addition of the Annexin V NIR Reagent to normal healthy cells is non-perturbing to cell growth and morphology and yields little or no intrinsic fluorescent signal. Once cells become apoptotic, plasma membrane PS asymmetry is lost. PS exposure on the extracellular surface enables binding of the Annexin V NIR Reagent resulting in a bright and photostable fluorescent signal. With the IncuCyte® integrated analysis software, fluorescent apoptotic cells can be quantified and background fluorescence minimized.

Annexin V NIR Reagent enables real-time evaluation of PS exposure in response to pharmacological agents and/or genetic and environmental factors. Furthermore, the Annexin V Reagent can be combined with the IncuCyte® confluence metric for multiplexed measurements of apoptosis and cell proliferation in every assay well.
